My whole life I have been into fitness. My first gym membership started when I was 10 years old. As most of you visiting this site, I to struggle with my weight on a daily basis. My goal after graduating from Hanover College with a degree in health and movements, was to finally find a fitness routine that not only challenged me but changed my mind set about fitness. After playing collegiate basketball for four years, I knew I needed to find a fitness program that would drive the inner competitive me, and that is when I stumbled into CrossFit.
CrossFit saved my life. Before my journey into CrossFit, I was the person who thought that as long as I was working out I could eat and drink what ever I wanted. Crossfit opened my eyes to a whole new outlook on life. Not only do I care about what I put in my mouth now, I have learned to love to treat my body with respect and only fuel it with nutrient based foods. This being said, I hope that with my experience in most types of fitness I can help you achieve a fitness regimen that in turn saves your life.
Kelsey started practicing yoga in her home 10 years ago as a way to calm and quite her mind and body after hectic days as a student. As a student at Butler University she was introduced to the wide variety of yoga classes and traditions available in Indianapolis and became an avid student of yoga. In 2011 she decided to take her studies to the next level and became Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher at the 200 hour level, under the instruction of Nikki Myers and Marsha Pappas at City Yoga School of Yoga and Health.
As owner of Common Ground Yoga Kelsey truly believes that yoga has a wealth of benefits to offer anyone open to it and is excited to help build a community of students looking to
become “yoga strong” in mind, body and spirit.
